Searching Special Complete Orthogonal Measurement Basis Via Y Operation for Real State Parameters SCIE Scopus

Abstract :

Remote state preparation with real and arbitrary state parameters have special features for quantum information processing such as state transmission. Here, we present a new method to construct measurement basis by y operation for qubits. We can show that special measurement basis can be given for 1,2,3 qubit states. We found that there are two forms of mutually orthogonal basis vectors for arbitrary two-qubit real-parameter state and there are eight forms of mutually orthogonal basis vectors for arbitrary three-qubit real-parameter state.

Relations between the average bipartite entanglement and N-partite correlation functions EI SCIE Scopus

Abstract :

We study the relations between the average bipartite entanglement and the N-partite length of correlation. We show that the N-partite length of correlation can completely determine the average bipartite entanglement for two and three-qubits. For four-, five- and six-qubit systems, the N-partite correlation functions may not determine the average bipartite entanglement. These results are novel and promising for pure state.

Abstract :

Efficient phase modulation plays a key role in optical and electro-optic (EO) devices. The rising metasurfaces provide a versatile platform for flexible phase control within subwavelength scale. Lithium niobate (LN) with excellent optical properties is one of the most outstanding EO materials. Here, we numerically design a LN-based metasurface which consists of two identical nanobars in each unit cell. By slightly breaking the structure symmetry, a quasi-bound state in the continuum (quasi-BIC) is excited with a high quality-factor (Q-factor), which also holds a strong local field enhancement. Significantly, by taking advantage of the EO effect of LN, the reflection phase delay can be modulated in the range of 0-pi using an external voltage as low as 14 V. Simultaneously, the reflectivity remains higher than 30% as voltage varies. Our design suggests a promising scheme for metasurface-based spatial light modulators.

Abstract :

We study the hybrid bound states in continuum (BIC) in time and spectral domain obtained from Eu3+/Pr3+ doped YPO4 and BiPO4 crystals. The spectral and time domain BIC originates from the interference between broadband fluorescence (FL) and narrowband super-florescence (SP-FWM) due to the dressing effect and crystal phase transition. We present a relationship between BIC and correlation and investigate two-mode and three-mode noise correlation/squeezing when the wavelength of the applied field is fixed at the bright state and dark state. In contrast to the BIC peak, we observe a switch and anti-bunching-like phenomenon at the BIC dip. We realize at the BIC peak point that correlation exhibits multi-oscillations and long coherence time in Pr3+:YPO4 in contrast with Eu3+:YPO4. Further, our two-mode intensity noise correlation experimental results suggest a controllable bandstop filter with an 80% bandwidth contrast and a dual-channel amplifier with an 89% amplitude contrast.

Generation of tripartite squeezed state by cascaded four-wave mixing in single hot rubidium atomic system SCIE Scopus

Abstract :

We report the quantum correlated triple beams via cascaded four-wave mixing (CFWM) amplified in single hot atomic vapor. Experimentally, we show that strong quantum correlation of three light beams, among them any two's quantum correlation is characterized by the maximum value of intensity-difference squeezing (IDS) about -7.8 +/- 0.3 dB. We found there is IDS between two idler beams, because two pairs of Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen injections potentially exist in our system. Besides, CFWM can emit three-mode beams at three different frequencies, in which these beams can be well separated in the spatial domain. Moreover, much difference with other methods, the injecting probe field can manipulate the gain and IDS of output three-mode light beams, which is resulting from competition relationship between cascaded two four-wave mixing processes. More interestingly, Autler-Townes splitting of gain peaks of output signals due to dressing effect of pumping fields, will lead to the evolution of measured two- and three-mode IDS from single-mode to multi-mode at frequency domain. This result will provide a multimode quantum resource which can potentially realize multimode entanglement and quantum networks.

Abstract :

We demonstrate the transition of band structure from flatband to type-III Dirac cones in an electromagnetically induced Kagome photonic lattice generated in a three-level ?-type Rb-85 atomic configuration both experimentally and theoretically. Such instantaneously reconfigurable Kagome photonic lattice with flatband is "written" by a strong coupling field possessing a Kagome intensity distribution, which can modulate the refractive index of atomic vapors in a spatially periodical manner under electromagnetically induced transparency. By introducing an additional one-dimensional periodic coupling field to cover any one set of the three inequivalent sublattices of the induced Kagome photonic lattice, the dispersion-less energy band can evolve into type-III Dirac cones with linear dispersion by easily manipulating the intensity of the one-dimensional field. Our results may pave a new route to engineer in situ reconfigurable photonic structures with type-III Dirac cones, which can act as promising platforms to explore the underlying physics and beam dynamics.

Abstract :

We compare the atomic coherence time of doped ion crystals, i.e., BiPO4: Eu3+, YPO4: Eu3+, YPO4: Pr3+, and Y2SiO5: Pr3+ crystals. Such atomic coherence time is controlled by crystal field splitting (CF-splitting) and optical (photon and phonon) dressing. Compared with the other doped ion crystals, BiPO4: Eu3+ exhibits the longest coherence time. By controlling thermal phonon, phase-transition phonon, broadband or narrowband excitation, and fluorescence (FL) or spontaneous four-wave-mixing ratio (S-FWM), a superior atomic coherence time of up to 10 +/- 0.6 ms is achieved in the pure hexagonal (0.5:1) phase of BiPO4: Eu3+. Furthermore, the relationship between TAT-splitting and spectral Autler-Townes (SAT)-splitting was investigated. This superior atomic coherence time has potential applications in quantum memory devices. (C) 2022 Optica Publishing Group

Abstract :

We study the self-dressing Fano interference controlled by different phase transitions of rare-earth-doped ions. The self-dressing Fano interference originates from Pr3+: Y2SiO5, Eu3+/Pr3+: YPO4, and Eu3+: BiPO4 at different laser power and time-gate. We explore that the self-dressed Fano exhibits photon dressing and crystal field splitting in Pr3+: Y2SiO5 and Eu3+/Pr3+: YPO4, respectively. We report that Pr3+: Y2SiO5 depict the strongest narrow single Fano, results from the narrow scanning spectrum range (3 nm) and single-level photon dressing only; however, Eu3+: BiPO4 exhibit the most prominent broad multi-level Fano among other three atomic-like mediums, due to coexisting photon-phonon dressing and a large range of spectrum scanning wavelength (40 nm). For the first time, we observe the smooth evolution of Fano interferences from self-dressing Fluorescence (FL) Fano to hybrid (FL + SFWM) Fano and to self-dressing spontaneous four-wave mixing (SFWM) in different samples of Eu3+: BiPO4 by changing the time-gate. We disclose that the Eu3+: BiPO4 sample (6:1) exhibits strong Fano interference in contrast with samples (7:1) and (1:1) owing to more sample phonon dressing in the (6:1) sample. Further, we compare the self-dressing Fano with the external-dressing Fano and notice that the Fano switch in self-dressing Fano results from the different Eu3+: BiPO4 samples transitions owing to distinct samples different detunings. However, the Fano switch in external-dressing Fano is obtained by changing the time-gate, owing to the cross and self-Kerr nonlinear phase difference. We further declare the strongest self-dressing FL Fano interference compared to the external-dressing FL Fano interference due to the double cascade dressing.

Abstract :

Multipartite entanglement plays an important role in quantum information processing and quantum metrol-ogy. Here, the dressing-energy-level-cascaded four-wave mixing (FWM) processes are proposed to generate all-optical controlled multipartite entanglement within a single device. The entanglement characteristics of the produced states of light are characterized by applying the Duan criterion and the positivity under partial transposition criterion. Moreover, by using an internal dressing field to modulate atomic coherence, multiple quantum coherent channels of FWM are simultaneously constructed, which result in a great extension of entanglement mode number and quantum information capacity. We find that the violation of the entanglement criteria inequalities is coherent-channel dependent, and the produced states can be directly modulated via atomic coherence. Our system can integrate the generation and modulation of the entangled states in one process. It may help provide a compact method for realizing large-scale quantum networks.
