Translated Abstract
AbstractSince Open-door policy and reform, China has witnessed rapid economic and trade growth. Meanwhile, the trade dependence degree is soaring. By the end of 2005, China’s trade dependence degree had reached 63.9%. Whether the trade dependence degree is too high or not has become one of the focuses in the economic circles. The dissertation gives an empirical analysis on what is a proper trade dependence degree, what structural problems China’s trade dependence degree has and how to build a proper one in the hope that it enables us to have a deeper and clearer cognition to it, thereby we can find a rational trade dependence degree and forward some solutions to these issues.Firstly, the dissertation formulates the general theories related to trade dependence degree, then concludes, summarizes and compares the views of different scholars on the debate that whether China’s trade dependence degree is too high.Secondly, the dissertation analyzes the status quo of China’s trade dependence degree in detail. The following aspects are included: the review of China’s trade dependence degree since Open-door policy by historical analysis domestic interlocal comparison and international comparison of China’s trade dependence degree by comparative analysis the structural analysis of China’s trade dependence degree from the main trade partners, the products’ structure of imports and exports, the competitiveness index and trade style of exports and the main entity of foreign trade by qualitative analysis.Thirdly,on the foundation of the former analysis, an empirical analysis to China’s trade dependence degree is followed. It evaluates quantitatively China’s trade dependence degree by EVIEWS statistical software and concludes that China’s trade dependence degree cannot weigh the degree of China’s foreign trade. The dissertation then recalculates China’s trade dependence degree in a new way and from the theory point of view (the factors which influence trade dependence degree) and draws the conclusion that China’s trade dependence degree is overrated from the international comparison.Fourthly, the dissertation presents the reasons and influences of the upgrade of China’s trade dependence degree by qualitative analysis. Then it gives a quantitative analysis of developing trend of the trade dependence degree with the latest data from the three factors which determine trade dependence degree, and concludes that the upgrade of the trade dependence degree have two sides in the influences to China’s economy and China’s trade dependence degree will go up to some extent in the future and the import dependence degree will surpass the export dependence degree at last. Last, in allusion to the result (the problems and negative influences to China’s economy of China’s trade dependence degree) of the former qualitative and quantitative analysis, specific measures and advices to optimize China’s trade dependence degree are put forward, which would provide some references for both government and automobile enterprises.
