Recently, volatile markets add operating risk for Chinese enterprises. Chinese enterprises face severe challenges that how to manage operational risks effectively. For construction industry has a longer production cycle, construction market is more volatile, and construction companies face more severe challenges than other companies. As in the end of the global value chain, E company takes the most risks in this industry. The research of risk management is related to improving capability of risk control and risk coping for E company, even for existence and development of the company. So this research of risk management for construction project of E company has practical significance.This paper decomposes business process of construction project of E company by WBS method, summarizes all the risks existing in every business process, identifies the sources for risk and risk factors by RBS method, performs a statistical analysis on risk probability of occurrence and risk impact, constructs risk matrix, measures risks by evaluation function, and ranks risks according to the measuring results.This paper analyzes characteristics of risk factor based on WBS-RBS matrix, risk measuring results and business process of construction project, draws conclusion that risk factors exist earlier than risks in business process of construction project and these factors have system relationships with each other, analyzes operating mode of risk monitor mechanism, chooses monitoring points and evaluating criterion, and sets up risk monitor mechanism.This paper computes benefits expectation of engineering projects in order to provide the foundation for choosing risk aversion or risk retention, makes targets planning of project period and cost, obtains different combination schemes, provides a Gantt diagram of project period, assesses the difference of period and cost by earned value method, constructs subsection function of project period and cumulative costs, recognizes the key path of construction project, inhibits the effect of construction delays by adding lubrication time, and gives other coping strategies for internal and external factors.
